Hotdogs for sale

ADA — Landmark Bank is selling Hotdogs, chips, drink, and dessert all for $5 Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Arlington Location. Chances on an outdoor grill will also be sold. Chances will be sold until the day of the Relay. All procedes will go to Relay for Life and American Cancer Society.



Relay Fundraiser

ALLEN — Allen Chamber of Commerce “Hillbillies” are having a Street Fair Friday evening, May 9, on Main Street in Allen from 6:00 to 10:00pm. Members will be selling BBQ sandwiches, funnel cakes, popcorn, bedding plants, glow in the dark necklaces and lots of other items to raise money for Relay for Life. A local band will be at the event to provide entertainment and an inflatable obstacle course will be available for the kids.



Blood Drive slated

ADA — A blood drive is scheduled at Rolling Hills Hospital from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Any donor who gives blood, platelets or plasma April 1 through May 22 can elect to forgo the normal t-shirt incentive in favor of having OBI make a contribution to underwrite programs at the Komen Central Oklahoma Affiliate to help fight breast cancer.



Salvation Army Auxiliary meets

ADA — Ada Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary meets at the Citadel, 115 N. Oak. The luncheon begins at noon and donations of $5 are asked to help with cost of the meal. The meeting is open to women interested in the organization. To make reservations, phone 580-332-1377.



PTC offers seminar

ADA — Insure Oklahoma O-EPIC/ESI, Employer Sponsored Insurance, is designed to assist small business owners in providing their employees and their employees’ families with health insurance. Pontotoc Technology Center will be offering an informative meeting on Insure Oklahoma/O-EPIC sponsored by the Ada Chamber of Commerce, Pontotoc Technology Center, and York and Associates Thursday, May 15, 2008 from 11:30 – 1:00 at Pontotoc Technology Center in Room 410 B. Wal-Mart having Poker Run

ADA — Wal-Mart will be having a poker run to benefit Relay for Life. The first bike will be out at 9 a.m. and the last bike out is at 10:30 a.m. The last bike in will be 3 p.m. The cost is $15 per rider and $5 for additional passenger. DJK fundraiser

ADA — DJK’s Relay for life Karaoke cookout, bake sale, and yard sale will at 7 a.m. at the Wise Owl 2 820 East Central Blvd. Road on the right after 18th and Mississippi. Procedes will benefit Relay for Life.

ADA — Dance Dynamix presents “Lights, Camera, Action” spring recital 2008 at 7 p.m. in Ada Cougar Activity Center. Tickets cost $5 each and may be purchased at the door.



Spring brunch scheduled

ADA — Members of TOPS Inc. 112 of Ada will be serving sensible, nutritional, deliciious recreations of culinary favorites during a spring brunch from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, 1319 E. 18th, Street. Copies of recipes will be available. Entertainment will be provided by Barbara Pederson. Tickets ($5 per person) can be purchased in advance from all members of TOPS 12 or at the door on the morning of the event.



Auction to benefit Clarita Amish School

CLARITA – A benefit auction and dinner for the Clarita Amish School takes place at Schmelzer’s Emporium at Clarita. Dinner starts at 4 p.m. and auction at 6 p.m. Dinner includes taco salad, desserts and home-baked goods.
