Big Five taking applications

STONEWALL — Stonewall Big Five Head Start will be taking applications for 3 and 4-year-olds May 20 and 21 at McLish School in Fittstown from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Parents are asked to bring shot records, proof of income, social security numbers and birth certificate.



Prime Timers to meet

ADA — Prime Timers’ monthly meeting will be at J.D.’s Cafe. Visitation begins at 5:30 p.m. with a buffet dinner at 6 p.m. Executive Director of CASA Gwen Gjovig will speak. Visitors are invited.



Singer to perform

ADA — Gospel singer Jean Morgan will sing for the residents of Ballard Nursing home at 2:30 p.m.





Depression Bipolar Support Alliance to meet

ADA — The State Chapter of Depression Bipolar Support Alliance will meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays.

The meetings will be held at Rolling Hills Hospital, 1000 Rolling Hills Lane, Ada.

Dance set at Irving Community Center

ADA — A dance is held every Wednesday at the Irving Community Center, 704 N. Oak, from 7:30-10 p.m. The cost is $6 per person.



BEEF conducts regular meeting

ADA — Byng Excellence in Education Foundation (BEEF) meets at 7 a.m. at J.D.’s Cafe.

Byng schools to hold meetings

BYNG — Byng Schools will hold a Title I, II, IV, V, and VI meetings on May 22 and May 23 at 9 a.m. in the Board Room. Phone 310-6751 for more information.



Tri-County Board of Directors meet

COALGATE — A regular meeting of the Board of Directors for the Tri-County Indian Nations Community Development Corporation will be held at 9 a.m. in teh Louis B Sandmann Building, 2 E. lafayette, Coalgate. AA group to meet at local church

ADA — The local Alcoholics Anonymous group meets Thursdays at 7 p.m. in fellowship hall of First Presbyterian Church, 301 E. Kings Rd. for more information, phone Daniel G. at (580) 332-3503.

Event at Citizens Bank

ADA — The Ada and Latta cheerleaders will be giving out popcorn and cakes from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Ada Cheerleaders will be at the main bank drive through and Latta Cheerleaders will be at Arlington Branch Drive through. Donations are not expected but will be accepted.

Hip-Hop workshop

ADA — A Hip-Hop workshop by Julie Weems will be held. Participants will perform at the May 30 Relay for Life event. Funds are to benefit Relay for Life and American Cancer Society. The cost is $15 per person. Beginners will be from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with an 8:45 check-in. Advanced will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a 10:15 check-in. Community reunion slated

OWL CREEK — Owl Creek Community and Schools reunion will be at Owl Creek Community Church. guests are to bring lawn chair and covered dish.



Pickett-Center superintendent to be honored

PICKETT-CENTER — Pickett-Center School will hold a retirement celebration in honor of school Superintendent Patsy West from 2-5 p.m. Saturday May 24 in the school gym. Former student and teachers are invited to attend.

Combat Infantry Association to meet

ADA — The Combat Infantry Association will have their monthly meeting at the Ada Chamber of Commerce at 6 p.m.

All veterans from any branch of the military that have served in any war are invited to attend.

The Combat Infantry Association is on-hand to help all veterans and the families of men an women serving in a combat zone.
