JUNE 26, 2009

• Old Bank Gallery, 101 W. Main, hosts an exhibit of the work of photographer Blair Waltman and pottery of Dr. Don Davies. Their work will be on display a the gallery through July 4 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

• Al-Anon meets Fridays at 8 p.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church at 17th Street and Broadway in Ada.

• Stonewall Class of 1959 hosts its 50th reunion at 4 p.m. in the regents room of old Knight Hall on East Central University campus. The reunion is open to graduates, classmates and teachers. JUNE 27, 2009

• Sulphur Kiwanis Golf Tournament starts at 9 a.m. at Sulphur Hills golf Course. Cost is $50 per person. Proceeds go to fund scholarships. For more information, phone Brian Hollis at 580-622-3142.

• Author Delena Deatherage will sings copies of her book, "The Beginnings of People's Chicken," from 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. at Stratford City Park. Books will be available for purchase at the Stratford Peach Festival the same day.

• Pontotoc County Amateur Radio Association hosts a field day for ham operators at the Pontotoc Technology Center beginning shortly afternoon. The event is open to the public.

• Ahloso Reunion will be 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Aldridge Living Center cafeteria. Meal will be served at 12 noon. The reunion is open to anyone who attended Ahloso School or lived in the Ahloso community.

• Stonewall School Alumni reunion will be at Stonewall School. Events begin at 3 p.m. and evening meal will be served at 6 p m. Classes of 1959 and 1984 will be recognized.



SUNDAY

JUNE 28, 2009

• Alcoholics Anonymous meets each weekday from noon until 1 p.m. and again from 8-9 p.m. and weekends from 10-11 a.m. and 8-9 p.m. at 431 S. Mississippi. All meetings are open and anyone who is interested in learning more about the program are invited to attend.

• Ada Writers Club meets at 2:30 p.m. in the Oak Avenue Baptist Church. The meeting is open to the public.

• Al-Anon meets Sundays at 8 p.m. at Central Church of Christ at 820 Stadium Drive in Ada.



WEDNESDAY

JULY 1, 2009

• Old Bank Gallery, 101 W. Main, hosts an exhibit of the work of photographer Blair Waltman and pottery of Dr. Don Davies. Their work will be on display a the gallery through July 4 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

• A dance is held every Wednesday at the Irving Community Center, 704 N. Oak, from 7:30-10 p.m. The cost is $6 per person.



THURSDAY

JULY 2, 2009

• Ada Public Library will host The Pocket Lady Susan Sykes at 10:30 a.m. Sykes brings her pockets full of stories for poetry and puppet fun. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, phone 436-8124.

• TEA Party protest event takes place from noon until 1 p.m. on the Pontotoc County Court House lawn.
