Blood drive held at Advanced Care
ADA — Oklahoma Blood Institute is asking healthy individuals to donate blood this summer. OBI will be at Advanced Care Medical Equipment at 1201 E. Arlington Tuesday, July 1st from 11:00-3:00 p.m.
Call A Ride extends run times
ADA -- Effective July 1, 2008 Call A Ride Public Transit will run from 6 a.m to 6 p.m. to accommodate jobs and classes that start 8 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. Last call will be taken at 5:15 p.m.
Ada Shrine Club meets at J.D.’s
ADA -- Ada Shrine Club will meet Tuesday, July 1, at J.D.’s Cafeteria. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 7 p.m. All Shriners are urged to attend. For more information phone Phyllis Phillips at 332-0884

Registration opens for Kiwanis Swim
ADA -- Registration and open swim for students in Session 3 of the Kiwanis Swim Safe Program will be held Wednesday, July 2, from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Wintersmith Park Pool. Openings are still available in all classes, from tadpoles and polywogs for pre-swimmers through Level 5 and 6 for advanced swim instruction. For more information, phone 332-3564. Application blanks are available at Ada Public Library, Ada City Hall, Glenwood Pool and Wintersmith Pool.
Dance set at Irving Community Center
ADA — A dance is held every Wednesday at the Irving Community Center, 704 N. Oak, from 7:30-10 p.m. The cost is $6 per person.

Byng cheerleaders to serve soft drinks
ADA — Byng cheerleaders will be providing Coke and popcorn from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Citizens Bank, 12th Street Drive through. Donations are not expected, but will be accepted.
Ada Rubber Stamp Art Club
ADA -- The next regular meeting of the Ada Rubber Stamp Art Club will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Ada Public Library. Newcomers are always welcome to attend and do not need to bring anything with them in order to participate. Use the Library 12 street entrance and take the elevator to the 2nd floor meeting rooms. Chickasaw Senior Citizens hosts Indian taco sale
ADA — Ada Chickasaw Senior Citizens are hosting an Indian taco sale from 4-7 p.m. at 1005 Chamber Loop. Cost is $6 per person. Meal includes a taco, dessert and drink. Pie auction begins at 5:30 p.m. For delivery of two or more phone 580-436-1007.
Alzheimer’s support group meets
ADA -- Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Support Group meets in the auditorium of Social Services Center, 630 E. Beverly. The meeting is open to anyone with concerns about these conditions. For more information, phone Sidney Pepper at 332-0832.
Depression Bipolar Support Alliance to meet
ADA — The State Chapter of Depression Bipolar Support Alliance will meet at 6 p.m. on Thursdays at Rolling Hills Hospital, 1000 Rolling Hills Lane, Ada. VFW Post conducts monthly meeting
KONAWA — Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 11194 meets at Walter Wise Hut in Konawa at 7 p.m. The meeting is open to all veterans.
