◊ Valley View Foundation will be having a “Nibbles and Notes” public meeting at noon featuring Cori Loomis, speaking on “Legal Aspects of Medical Care.” The meetings, located at Ada Public Library, are open to the public and lunch will be served. To register, phone 580-421-1285.

◊ Poultry and rabbit entries for the 2008 Pontotoc County Free Fair are due at 5 p.m. Entry forms and complete rules are available at the fair office, 1770 N. Broadway.

◊ Valley View Cancer Support Group will meet at 5:30 p.m. in Valley View Regional Hospital classroom 4 located on the ground floor of the hospital. Meeting is free and open to anyone diagnosed with cancer or with cancer concerns. For more information, phone 580-421-1175.

◊ Allen Masonic Lodge will be serving breakfast from 7-10 a.m. Saturday Aug. 23 at the lodge on West Broadway. The fund-raising breakfast includes sausage, biscuit, gravy, bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns and coffee. Donations will be accepted.
