MONDAY

OCT. 6, 2008

◊ The October meeting of the Ada High Band Boosters will be Monday October 6 at 6:30p.m. at the Ada High Band Room. All band parents and boosters are encouraged to attend. Final plans will be made for the annual band BBQ dinner scheduled before the football game on October 10.

◊ East Central University’s Human Resources Club is hosting its third annual Benefit Bingo. All proceeds go to support the annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner. For more information phone Thom Balmer at tbalmer@ecok.edu or 580-559-5839.

◊ Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 11194 will have its monthly meeting at the second floor music room of Ada Public Library at 7 p.m. The meeting is open to all veterans.

◊ Chess Club meets 7 p.m. each Monday evening at First Presbyterian Church, 301 Kings Road, in the Westminster Fellowship Center. For more information, phone 580-332-3073.

TUESDAY

OCT. 7, 2008

◊ Valley View Auxiliary will hold a book fair fundraiser from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the ground floor hallway by the elevators. All proceeds will be used to benefit the patients of Valley View Regional Hospital.

◊ Ada Public Library will hold Lapsit Storytime for infants, birth to 24 months, at 11 a.m.

◊ Fall storytime for preschoolers (age 3-5 years) meets at 1:30 p.m. at Ada Public Library.

◊ “Wings of Hope” grief support group meets at 6:30 p.m. at Ada Area Chamber of Commerce, 200 W. Main. Meetings are available for parents who have experienced the death of a child. Phone Tammy at (580)332-4400 or Shelly at (580)310-0613 for details.

◊ The Byrd’s Mill Archeology Club meets at 7 p.m. in the conference room at Valley View Regional Hospital.
