• The actors of ACT II will be around every corner waiting to “scare the pumpkins” out of visitors at “The Haunting of the Agri-plex” from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. “The Show” will be presented at 10 p.m. and is included in the admission price of $5 per person. Scare free halloween fun is available for younger guests.

HALLOWEEN

• Trick-or-treating festivities will be allowed in the city of Ada.

• PetSense will be having a Pet Costume Contest at 1 p.m. The winner receives free grooming for a year. Contest categories include best trick, biggest dog, littlest dog and owner look-alike. For more information, phone 580-272-0322

• A Halloween carnival and safe house will be open from 5-7:30 p.m. at Francis Fire Department. Costume and pre-decorated pumpkin contests will take place.

• Center Free Will Baptist Church hosts the second annual Candy Bowl for children of Pontotoc County and surrounding areas from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Pontotoc County Agri-plex Big Red Barn. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, phone Kelly Wood at 580-272-3467.

• As part of ECU’s Homecoming Tailgate, there will be a special Halloween Trunk or Treat in conjunction with the Greeks annual safe house from 4–5:30 p.m. on the lawn north of the Norris Field Parking lot. Those attending are asked to use the ECU Physical Plant Road, 200 Stadium Dr. to access the area if not attending the football game. For more information, phone 580-559-5207.

• First Christian Church will be having a Trunk or Treat at 13th Street and Broadway from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

• The combined youth of First Presbyterian Church and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church

will be handing out candy to little ones on trick-or-treat night from 6-7 p.m., at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 17th and Broadway. All area youth are invited to drop by for treats.

• Harmony Free Will Baptist Church hosts its annual Trunk or Treat Saturday, Oct. 31 from 6-8:30 p.m. at 224 SE County Road in Ada.

• ECU Honors Student Association (HSA) is sponsoring its annual canned food drive on Halloween. ECU students will be trick-or-treating for canned goods instead of candy in Ada on Halloween night from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. All donations go to the local Mathew 25 food mission at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
