• Ada Area Compassionate Friends support group will meet at 6:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, Fellowship Hall 129 W. 14th. The group is an organization offering friendship and understanding to bereaved families following the death of a child. For more information, phone Edwina Lowry at 580-310-2737.

• Tupelo Public Works Authority will meet in the Tupelo Senior Citizens center.

• Peter Fletcher, classical guitarist, performs at Ada Public Library at 6 p.m.

• Byrds Mill chapter of Oklahoma Archaeological Society meets at 7 p.m. in the conference room of Valley View Regional Hospital. K.C. Kraft will be the speaker.

NOV. 11, 2009

• Divorce/Bereavement Support Group meets at 7 p.m. at The Compassion Outreach Center, 1124 Cradduck Road. The group offers support for those who have lost a loved one through divorce or death. For more information, phone Tom at 332-6506.

• A dance is held every Wednesday at the Irving Community Center, 704 N. Oak, from 7:30-10 p.m. The cost is $6 per person.

NOV. 12, 2009

• Multiple Sclerosis Support Group monthly meeting is at 6 p.m. Meeting will be at Ada Reed Activity Center at 207 W. Cottage St., Ada. All persons with MS, their caregivers, families, friends, or anyone interested in knowing more about MS are welcome to attend. A meal will be provided. • The local Alcoholics Anonymous group meets Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. in fellowship hall of First Presbyterian Church, 301 E. Kings Rd. For more information, phone Daniel G. at (580) 332-3503.

• Pontotoc County Alcoholics Anonymous group meets at 8 p.m. at Central Church of Christ, 820 Stadium Drive, Ada. Open meeting.

• Roff Public Schools meeting scheduled for Nov. 9 has been rescheduled for Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. in the administration building board room.
