The home of Natosha Logsdon, a sophomore on Roff girls basketball team, burned Monday. During the Roff vs. Latta basketball game there will be a benefit dinner with proceeds to go to the Logsdon family. It will be a Mexican Pile on Dinner and the cost is $5. The dinner will be held from 4 to 8 in the Roff Student Center.
The International Student Connection Club at East Central University will prepare exotic cuisine for an International Dinner at 6 p.m. in the Wagner Ballroom in the Memorial Student Union. The cost is $10 with proceeds benefitting the ECU International Scholarship Fund. Children under 5 eat free.
The Alternative Gift Market and Ten Thousand Villages will be sponsored by the First Presbyterian Church from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the North Lounge in East Central University’s Memorial Student Union. Alternative Gifts offers opportunities to purchase sponsorships for humanitarian projects in third world countries. Ten Thousand Villages offers handcrafted products from artisans in dozens of countries.
Tickets for the Miss Ada 2010 Scholarship Pageant “Dreams Can Come True” which will be 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center on the East Central University campus are on sale. Tickets are $10 each for general admission and $12.50 for reserved seating. Tickets are available at Eden Tree Boutique, 900 N. Country Club; Bella E Salon, 1198 North Hills Centre, and Ja Che Je’s, 115 W. Main Street.
Boy Scout Troop 4 and Cub Scout Pack 4 hosts a chili supper at First Christian Church. Homemade chili, beef stew and corn bread and homemade pie will be served from 4:30-7 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children under age 11. Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma, Aphchi Service Unit, teamed with Oklahoma Blood Institute to encourage healthy area residents to give blood in November. 3 on 3 Basketball tournament, sponsored by Boys and Girls Club of Ada, will be Nov. 20-22. Cost is $40 per team with a four-person roster. The double elimination tournament for grades 3-8 and age 18 and older is a fund raiser for the Boys and Girls Club building fund. Ada American Legion Post 72 sponsors bingo Saturday nights at 6 and 7:30 p.m. The Post hall is located at 3529 N. Broadway, Ada. Refreshments are available. Proceeds finance veterans and their families, scholarships and Boys and Girls State.
Roff REEF Banquet is 6 p.m. at the Roff Student Center. Roff High School Drama Class presents “The Imperfect Proposal.” Also performing are Sarah Jocie and Tayler Nickole. Boy Scouts of America is turning 100 years old. A Christmas Tour of Homes is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 7, from 5-8 p.m. Tickets are on sale at Ada Area Chamber of Commerce or by calling East Central University at 559-5873. Tour ticket prices are $10 for the tour only, and $15 for the tour with transportation provided. Refreshments will be served at Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center throughout the evening. Proceeds benefit the children of Ada through Project Invest — a program of ECU’s Child Care Resource & Referral Agency and Smart Start South Central.

Pontotoc County Alcoholics Anonymous group meets at 8 p.m. at Central Church of Christ, 820 Stadium Drive, Ada. Open meeting.
The Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner takes place at the Pontotoc County Agri-plex at the fairgrounds on North Broadway. Turkey, ham, vegetables, hot rolls and desserts will be served free from 5-8 p.m. Meals also can be delivered to the homebound who live inside the Ada city limits. To request home deliveries call the Turkey Hotline at 580-559-5812 by Friday, Nov. 20. The dinner is organized annually by members of the Human Resources Club at ECU with help from volunteers throughout the community.
