◊ Chess Club meets 7 p.m. each Monday evening at First Presbyterian Church, 301 E. Kings Road, in the Westminster Fellowship Center. For more information, phone 580-332-3073.

◊ The free Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be from 5-8 p.m. at the Pontotoc County Agri-plex on North Broadway. Call A Ride will provide free transportation countywide. Handicap vans will be available. To schedule a ride, call 332-7056. For deliveries to the homebound inside the city limits, phone 559-5800 by Nov. 21. Take-out meals are not allowed. ◊ Composers Tori Davison and Rudy Lupinski will have two of their new works premiered by East Central University Chorale under Director Dr. Steven Walker at the Chorale’s fall concert. The concert will be at First United Metodist Church Chapel at 7:30 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.



TUESDAY

NOV. 25, 2008

◊ Fall storytime for preschoolers (age 3-5 years) meets at 1:30 p.m. at Ada Public Library.

◊ Combat Infantry Association meets at 6 p.m. the fourth Tuesday each month at 730 E. Main. The meeting is open to all veterans from any branch of the service that has served in any war.



WEDNESDAY

NOV. 26, 2008

◊ A dance is held every Wednesday at the Irving Community Center, 704 N. Oak, from 7:30-10 p.m. The cost is $6 per person.

◊ Divorce/Bereavement Support Group meets each Wednesday at The Compassion Outreach Center, 1124 Craddock Road, Ada. The group offers support for those who have lost a loved one through divorce or death. For more information, phone Tom at 332-6506.

◊ All non-emergency city of Ada offices will be closed in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. The landfill will be closed and there will be no garbage service .
