THANKSGIVING

DEC. 1, 2008

◊ Homer Elementary School, 1400 N. Monte Vista, hosts a Scholastic Book Fair from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. to purchase books for children.

◊ The Board of Education of Ada Public School District 1019 has announced that qualified individuals interested in running as a candidate for the Office Number Four, Ward One seat on the Ada Board of Education may file to run as a candidate for this seat at the Pontotoc County Election Board between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Dec. 1-3.

◊ The Board of Education of Vanoss Public School District has announced that qualified individuals interested in running as a candidate for Number Four seat on the Vanoss Board of Education may file to run as a candidate for this seat at the Pontotoc County Election Board between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Dec. 1-3.

◊ Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 11194 meets at 7 p.m. in the second floor music room of Ada Public Library. The meeting is open to all veterans.
