Equine clinic
Jet McCoy: Equine Communication Clinic will be Saturday, June 27, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at 3-Crosses/Ken Lance Arnea at Union Valley.
Pre-Registration required. Space is limited. Spectators are welcome.
McCoy’s video about the class is on the website www.3crossescamp.com to explain the benefits of the clinic, and how his years of being a horseman and rodeo pro have helped him learn the relationship between a horse and its rider.
The class offers people how to: trust and respect their horse, and get their horse to trust and respect them; Build a better relationship with their horse; and Improve their horsemanship and their horse’s attitude. Participants will bring their own horse. The is $100 per person, and spectators are welcome to attend for free.

Horse vet day
Horse vet day with Dr Rett Scoggin is Saturday, June 27, at 3-Crosses/Ken Lance Arena at Union Valley.
Horses can be checked and helped from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. by the Scoggin Veterinary Services, LLC with Rett A Scoggin, DVM, CVA providing wellness exams, lameness evaluations, coggins (E.I.A.) testing, vaccinations and alternative therapy.
Dr Scoggin has a mobile clinic to attend to the horses. Health history papers are helpful but not necessary, unless a coggins test is needed. Payment can be in cash or check. Standard veterinary rates will apply, with a multiple horse discount.
Dr. Scoggin graduated from Colorado State in 2008 and is at the Oakridge Equine Hospital in Edmond completing a revolving medical internship.
Dr. Scoggin is starting his own practice here and will be travelling back to his home in the corners of Wyoming and South Dakota and Nebraska with his vet services for large animals.
Jet McCoy’s Horse Communication Clinic will be the same day. Dr Scoggin will be attending to horses all day, and for those participating in the Jet McCoy Equine Class, he’ll be available during breaks and after the class to check their horses.

Team roping
On Sunday, June 28, a benefit team roping and silent auction for rodeo rider Paul Petska and his wife Gail who were injured in a serious car wreck early in June.
Roping books open at 8 a.m. and close at 9 a.m.
Cowboy Church starts at 9:30 a.m.
Immediately following the open roping: 4 for $40, progressive after 1.
Roping begins at 10 a.m. — Enter 1, Draw 2 $200 a man.
Featuring a 15 Roping, and 13 - 11 - 9 Roping.
4 for $40, progressive after 1.
Entries are limited dto eight per person - per roping.
Silent Auction will take place during the roping.
Donations will be accepted.
