Officer training

Officers of Byng FFA chapter participated in the 2009 Oklahoma FFA Chapter Officer Leadership Training (COLT) Conference Sept. 1 at the Southeast Expo Center in McAlester. Josh Brecheen, Coalgate, was the keynote speaker for the conference. Brecheen once wore the traditional FFA blue and gold jacket and served as state FFA president in 1998-99. He is a field representative for U.S. Sen. Tom Coburn. Attending from the Byng chapter include Brady Jennings, president; Cheyene Counts, vice president; Zak Frizzell, secretary; Holly Wade, treasurer; Steven Vekony, reporter; Tyler Frizzell, sentinel; William Wynn, historian; Taylor Lehman, parliamentarian; Caitlin Spencer, chaplain; and Justin Kennedy and Craig Thompson, advisers. State officers pictured include Ariel LeForce, seated far left, southeast district vice president; and Amy Peel, seated far right, state FFA president.
