Pattons celebrate 50th anniversary

Ada — Dr. Laurin and Virginia Patton, Ada, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2-4 p.m. March 16 at Asbury United Methodist Church Family Life Center. Hosts for the event are the couple’s children: Greg Patton, Ada, Laurina Grimes, The Woodlands, Texas, Brad Patton, Katy, Texas, and Lindsay Kessinger, Ada.

Laurin Patton and Virginia Fowler were married March 14, 1958, at Galey Baptist Church, Galey, Okla.

Dr. Patton is a veterinarian and owner of Arlington Animal Clinic. He is president and chairman of the board for People’s Electric Cooperative, member of Oklahoma and American Veterinary Medical Association, Pontotoc County Cattlemen’s Association and Ada Rotary Club.

Mrs. Patton was secretary at Hayes Elementary School from 1976 until 1982. In 1982, she became receptionist and bookkeeper at Arlington Animal Clinic. She is a member of Our World Tanti Study Club, member of Oklahoma and American Veterinary Medical Association Auxiliary.

Dr. and Mrs. Patton are members of Asbury United Methodist Church of Ada.

The Pattons’ children are Greg Patton, Ada; Laurina Grimes and husband Brock, The Woodlands, Texas, Brad Patton and wife Anne, Katy, Texas, and Lindsay Kessinger and husband Steve, Ada.

The couple’s grandchildren are McCall Grimes, Fort Worth, Texas; Parker and Payton Patton, both of Ada; Katie, Cameron and Leslie Patton, all of Katy, Texas; Garrett Grimes, The Woodland, Texas; Keeli and Carter Kessinger, both of Ada; and Brett Grimes, Oklahoma City.
