ADA — Mr. and Mrs. Dick Scalf, Ada, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a family gathering June 13, 2009, at Allen, Texas. The event is a joint anniversary celebration also honoring Mrs. Scalf’s sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Jerry Shelton. Hosts for the event are Debbie Jones and Tonda Morris.
Dick Scalf and Mary Boren were married May 1, 1959, at McKinney, Texas.
Mr. Scalf is retired from Kerr Water Research Lab and is a member of Ada City Council. He is a member of CPASA, Ada Water Resources Board and serves on the committee for Oklahoma Water Resources Board.
Mrs. Scalf retired as a teacher with Ada City Schools. She is a member of Camp Fire USA, Delta Kappa Gamma and Pontotoc County Retired Educators Association.
They are members of First Christian Church.
The couple has a daughter, Tonda Morris and husband Bryan, Ada; and two grandchildren, Madysson Morris and Meredyth Morris.
