ADA — Mr. and Mrs. Joe Winton, Ada, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Hosting a reception from 1-3 p.m. May 30, 2009, at Trinity Baptist Church fellowship hall are Alan and Cissy Winton and Dan and LeaAnn Pettigrew.
Joe Winton and Phyllis Auten were married May 28, 1959, at Fittstown First Baptist Church.
Mr. Winton was a firefighter for the city of Ada and Mrs. Winton was employed as a teacher at Oklahoma School for the Deaf in Sulphur and Sasakwa High School. They are members of Trinity Baptist Church.
They have two children, LeaAnn Pettigrew and her husband Dan of Ada, and Alan Winton and his wife Cissy of Ada. The Wintons have three grandchildren, Andrea "Andie" Winton, Austin Pettigrew and Blake Pettigrew.
