Howrys celebrate golden anniversary

ADA — The Rev. and Mrs. Joe Howry, Ada, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary June 7, 2009, at a come-and-go reception from 2-4 p.m. at Lovelady Baptist Chruch.
Joe Howry and Joyce Ann McNeill were married June 16, 1959, at First Baptist Church of Fittstown. The Rev. Howry was a full-time Southern Baptist pastor for 40 years and worked for the Oklahoma State DHS office for 17 yeras. Mrs. Howry was a full-time classroom teacher for 25 years and for the past 13 years has served as a librarian as support staff for Latta School. After his retirement with DHS, the Rev. Howry has continued to do volunteer work for the State DHS and also has continued to serve as a part-time minister. They are both members of Lovelady Baptist Church.
The Rev. and Mrs. Howry have two children: Coy Howry and wife Patty, and Keith Howry and wife Kelly, all of Ada. They have five grandchildren: Danny Howry, Quantico, Va.; Danna, Haley, Kolby and Kolton Howry, all of Ada.
Family and friends are invited to attend the celebration of this special occasion. Your presence is the only gift the couple desires.
