Allens honored on golden anniversary

— ROFF — Paul and Correna Allen, Roff, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary June 27, 2009, at 2 p.m. in Roff City Hall. Hosting the event are their three children, Mike Allen and friend Pam Deaton, Patti Allen and fiance Tom Boulware, Jalina McCutchen and husband Mac.
Paul Allen and Correna Underwood were married June 27, 1959, at Gretna Green Wedding Chapel in Downey, Calif.
Mr. Allen was employed with Safeway stores in California and Ada. Mrs. Allen was employed at Service Cheverolet in Ada. They later owned and operated Allen's Grocery and Feed in Roff. They sold the business to their son in 2004.
Mr. Allen is enjoying retirement by running his cattle ranch and Mrs. Allen tends her flower garden. She also helps out at Allen's Grocery and Feed.
The Allens have three children, 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
