Ada boys basketball schedules summer camps
ADA — A comprehensive Ada boys basketball camp is scheduled for June 8-9 inside the Cougar Activity Center.
The camp, open to boys entering grades 2-9, will run from 9 a.m. to noon daily. Cost is $45 per camper.
The camp will introduce and develop the fundamentals of basketball with emphasis placed on shooting, ball handling, dribbling, passing, rebounding and defense.
A shooting camp has been scheduled for June 11-12 and will run from 9 a.m. to noon both days. Cost for the camp — also open to boys in grades 2-9 — is $30.
The camp will introduce and develop the fundamentals of shooting.

OU players will be at softball camp
SASAKWA -- University of Oklahoma softball players D. J. Mathis and Jessica Douglas will be among the instructors at the Sasakwa High School Softball Camp Monday and Tuesday.
The morning sessions of the camp (9 a.m. to 12 noon) will be for grades 3 through 6, while the afternoon sessions (1 to 4 p.m.) will be for grades 7 through 12. Monday’s session will stress defense, and Tuesday’s will cover offensive fundamentals.
Cost is $35 and includes a camp T-shirt.

Lady Cougar basketball camp set for June 2-5
ADA — The 2009 Ada Lady Cougar basketball camp is scheduled for June 2-5 at inside the Cougar Activity Center.
The camp, which will run from 9 a.m. to noon daily, is open to girls entering grades 1-12. Cost is $60 unless pre-registered.
All participants will receive a camp t-shirt and awards will be presented to winners of special drills and competitions.

Summer tennis clinic scheduled for June 1-July 8
ADA — The City of Ada will sponsor a free summer tennis clinic from June 1 through July 8 at the Ada Tennis Center.
The clinic will be taught by longtime Ada tennis instructor Skip Griese. The clinic will meet on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays of each week. Grades six and under will meet from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Grades seven through 12 will meet from 1:30-3:30 p.m.
Each student needs to bring a tennis racket. Tennis balls will be provided. No prior registration is necessary. Participants only need to show up at the appropriate time.
