Vision Bank Student Board of Directors conduct meeting

ADA — Vision Bank hosted its first Student Board of Directors meeting for the fall semester. The current group of seniors marks the ninth year the program has been in effect. Over 230 students have been educated on banking and business issues through Vision Bank’s Student Board of Directors program.

The Student Board program is designed to give high school seniors an opportunity to become educated about the banking industry. Students from local schools are selected by their schools to participate in the program based on their academic and leadership skills plus their interest in the business field. The bank’s Student Board of Directors consists of seniors from Ada, Byng, Latta, and Vanoss.

The students attend meetings at the bank periodically during the semester. A new set of students are selected for the fall and spring semesters.

Students participating in the current program include: Joel Allen, Ada; Sarah Barnes, Latta; Marah Canfield, Ada; Mason Gibson, Ada; Josh Hatton, Byng; Amie Honeycutt, Vanoss; Skyler Jenson, Latta; Rasheed Lowery, Byng; Chris Nguyen, Ada; Kelsey O’Grady, Byng; Brandi Paretti, Latta; Deede Thompson, Ada; Tabatha Wallis, Byng; and Roy Weber, Vanoss.
