Woods, Tolliver families gather for reunions

ADA — The annual Woods Cousins' Reunion was held July 25 at Ada's Wintersmith Park Lodge. There were 44 relatives in attendance, most of them descendants of the late John J. and Mary Francis Foster Woods of Clarita.

Members of the late Earnest Woods family attending were Belton Woods, Shawnee; Letha and Al Smith, Duncan; Roy B. and Daphene Woods, Shawnee; Althea and Jaime Elmore, Shawnee; Keith and Lynn Smith, Duncan; David and Penny Davis, Edmond; Roy Lee, Pam, Whitney and Roy Thomas Woods, Shawnee.

Descendants of the late Dewey "Dude" Woods attending were Billy Woods, Connerville; Bruce Woods, Stonewall; Diane, Cole and Emilea Niblett, Tishomingo; Joe Woods, Wapanucka; Butch and Linda Woods, Coalgate; and Kirk, Cindy and Kinsley Hill, Shawnee.

Attending from the late Jim Woods family were Beatrice Woods, Clarita, Billy Joe and Lorene Woods, Tupelo; Jim Woods, Coalgate, and Ann Woods Hill, Tupelo.

The Eugene Woods descendants attending were Zelmadean and Oliver Parker, Ada; Vicki Parker Patton, Ada; Bob and Ann Woods, Tupelo; and Nell Dennis, Norman.

Attending from the Thelma Woods Lee family were Thelda "Whiz" and Bo Creighton, Paris Texas.

The 2010 reunion will be held the last Saturday of July at the same location.

Tolliver

FITZHUGH — The Tolliver family gathered Aug. 1 at Fitzhugh First Baptist Church fellowship building for its 30th annual reunion.

Attending from out of state were Bill and Harriett Tolliver of Hutchinson, Kan. Attending from Oklahoma were Laura, Bart, Shae and Brady Bates of Jones; Linda, Jerry Don, Jaxi and Laina Martin of Prague; Dana, Todd, Chandler and Carter Smith of Corn; Susan Stewart of Konawa; Wilcie Tolliver, Bob Tolliver, Dub Tolliver, Ron and Janet Tidwell, Ryan and Dayla Tidwell, Alvin Tidwell and Carol and Earl Stewart, all of Roff. Helen Baker of Sulphur was a guest.
