Christine Alyse Smith and Robert Wesley McElroy were united in marriage at the First Baptist Church in Salado on September 19, 2009. Joe Keyes, of the Salado Church of Christ, officiated at the double ring ceremony. The service was followed by a dessert reception at the Old Salado Springs Celebration Center.

Given in marriage by her parents, and escorted by her father, the bride wore an Oleg Cassini ivory satin gown with cinched bust, beaded champagne lace bodice, pick-up skirt, and peak-a-boo champagne lace hem with a chapel-length train. Her two-tier fingertip-length veil featured a beaded scallop edge with beaded flowers and sequins, and was held by a tall silver tiara with crystals and pearls.
Maid of honor was Melissa Pollard, aunt of the bride. Angela Mooney, friend of the bride, and Sarah McElroy, cousin of the groom served as bridesmaids. Junior bridesmaid Bahley Schirpik, sister of the bride, and flower girl Morgan Smith, cousin of the bride, completed the bride’s attendants.
Best man was Tyler McElroy, brother of the groom. Dustin Rodgers, friend of the groom, and Jesse Thompson, cousin of the groom served as groomsmen. Junior groomsmen Canyon Schirpik, brother of the bride, and ring bearer Cole Smith, cousin of the bride, completed the groom’s attendants.
After a weekend trip to the Hyatt Regency Resort in San Antonio, the couple flew to Tahiti for a seven-day cruise of the Tahitian Islands. The couple will reside in College Station, where Keller Williams Real Estate employs the bride, and the groom is a self-employed real estate investor.
