Back to School Boot Camp to begin Sept. 21

Ada — East Central University strength and conditioning coordinator Travis Reust will host his third annual Back To School Boot Camp for women beginning Monday, Sept. 21, at the new Pat O’Neal Center on the ECU campus.

One-hour sessions will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for six weeks. Cost for the camp is $300, and Reust said enrollment would be limited to “25 or 30” participants.

“I used to have to do two sessions (at 5 and 6 a.m.), but now we have one of the best (strength and conditioning) facilities in Division II athletics, so we’ll just have one this year,” Reust explained.

“We work on overall wellness — strength, flexibility and conditioning.

“We have a great group of ladies who come back every year — our return rate is phenomenal,” he said.

“It’s great camaraderie for the ladies.”

Reust said he will have a staff or seven to assist him with the camp.

“I have some great assistants,” he noted. “It’s personal training in a group setting.

“It’s a great overall experience,” Reust added.

“It ties the university in with the community and allowed members of the community to be trained by a professional strength and conditioning staff.”
