There is some level of consistency required to existence. Someone wakes up of the morning and falls into the same routine of each morning: brush teeth, wash face, fix hair, get dressed, etc.
The same should apply to reading the daily newspaper.
At Ada Evening News, there were some requests for the puzzles (namely crossword and celebrity cypher) to not be distorted. In an effort to stop that from happening, the crossword puzzle will no longer be located on the comics page during the Monday through Friday editions. Instead, it will be located at its proper dimensions throughout the paper. Hopefully, this will bring some ease in trying to fill the letter squares.
Another change is the publication of “Today in History” on each day of publication. This feature includes highlights in history on each particular day, celebrity birthdays and “Thought for the Day.” More than a year ago, “Today in History” was on the opinion page that was published each day. When the opinion page changed to twice a week, so did “Today in History.” The feature will now appear in the paper each day we publish.
These changes will be effective tomorrow. We hope these changes will not only make the puzzles more legible, but be more satisfying in knowing history of each day.
If there are any questions or suggestions, feel free to e-mail them to us at news@adaeveningnews.com.
