Local business puts on food drive

The Edmond Sun

EDMOND The Cottages at Northern Hills is taking part in the fight against hunger with a weeklong food drive ending Nov. 15.

The food drive is company-wide, encompassing all properties, which are located in several different states. Each property is asking residents to donate non-perishable food items, which will go to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. Residents who donate will be entered into a drawing for a $200 gift card to Walmart.

Donations can be dropped off at The Cottages main office at 800 N. Chowning in Edmond.

The Regional Food Bank provides enough food to feed more than 63,000 people each week, and yet it is still not enough. In fact, partner agencies are reporting an increase in demand as high as 50 percent this year.

For more information on the food drive, contact cottages@ferguson-apts.com. To learn more about hunger in Oklahoma, or to make a donation, visit regionalfoodbank.org or call 972-1111.
