The Oklahoma Christian Academy football closed out their season in style on Friday night, beating Bowlegs 42-22 for their third win of the season.

“We talked about trying to finish on a high note and they did a really good job tonight,” OCA coach Keith Lough said. “I was really pleased with way they responded to the last game. Our defense really played well against them and offensively we moved the ball and controlled the game.”

OCA (3-7, 3-5) finished the season in sixth place in District B-3, after winning just one game a year ago.

The Bison never found a way to slow down Parker Randell. The junior ran for 234 yards and five touchdowns and recorded 10 tackles on defense.

Tyler Minx also rushed for 66 yards on 19 carries, while intercepting a pair of passes on defense. The senior returned one of those picks 65 yards for a touchdown.

OCA’s defense kept Bowlegs in check all night. The Bison failed to pick up a first down in the first half, and finished the game with just 120 yards of total offense.

OCA went up early as they scored on their first possession of the game. The Eagles kept it up through the first 24 minutes of play for a 26-0 lead at the break. Bowlegs pulled within 14 points in the second half at 34-22, but the Eagles never let it get any closer.

Tyler Holt had 13 tackles, while Zak Ruff finished with 12 tackles and a fumble recovery.
