OBA routs Pioneer
WAUKOMIS — Harrison Jackson rushed for 225 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Oklahoma Bible Academy’s 38-6 District A-2 win over Pioneer Friday night.
The Trojans, 9-1 overall, 8-1 in district, will meet Friday’s Luther-OCS winner next week at home in the first round of the Class A playoffs.
Jackson’s 1-yard run and Alex Dexeus’ extra-point boot in the second quarter helped push the Trojans out in front 7-0. Chris Kuyken-dall’s 5-yard touchdown pass to Robert MacDonald made it 14-0.
Dexeus booted a 27-yard field goal to put OBA up 17-0 at half.
Jackson added his second TD, a 49-yard run, in the third period.
Pioneer closes the season with a 3-7 record.
COV-DOUGLAS 52, K-H 30
KREMLIN — Dylan Sterling scored five touchdowns as Covington-Douglas clinched its sixth straight playoff trip with a 52-30 win over Kremlin-Hillsdale Friday in a game that decided fourth place in District C-3.
Sterling scored on runs of 4, 7, 7 and 9 yards as well as a 74-yard touchdown pass from Brett Stopp. Sterling finished the game at quarterback after Stopp was injured in the first half.
The Wildcats, 6-4 overall, 5-3 in District C-3, had touchdowns runs of nine and 12 yards from Kerry Storm.
Kremlin-Hillsdale’s Jake Streck had touchdown passes of 19 and 74 yards to Mitchell Foote. Streck scored on a 1-yard run while Foote had tallied the Broncs’ first touchdown on a 6-yard run.
The Broncs (5-5, 4-4) were going for their first playoff trip since 2000.
CHISHOLM 47, MOORELAND 25
MOORELAND — Jason Gilpatrick ran for one touchdown and threw for four more in the Longhorns’ District A-1 47-25 win over Mooreland.
Gilpatrick completed passes of 21, 5, 21 and 11 for touchdowns.
Chisholm closes out the season at 3-7. Mooreland finishes at 1-9.
OKEENE 10, BEAVER 0
BEAVER — Okeene’s defense put the stops on Beaver’s running game, while Tyler Burkhart turned on the burners as the Whippets cinched up a Class A playoff spot with a10-0 win over Beaver Friday night.
The Whippet defense held Beaver to minus 9 yards on the ground and Burkhart rushed for 111 yards in the win.
HENNESSEY 37, TURPIN 3
HENNESSEY — Matt Luetjen scored a pair of first quarter touchdowns as Hennessey rolled past District A-1 rival Turpin and finished the regular season unbeaten for the second time in three years.
Hennessey, 10-0, will meet the Luther-OCS loser at home in the first round of the Class A playoffs next week.
TIMBERLAKE 56, DCLA 22
LAMONT — Jake Bowers tossed a pair of second-half touchdown passes of 33 and 71 yards as the visiting Tigers cinched first place in District C-3 Friday night.
Timberlake scored 44 second-half points after leading 14-6 at the half.
The Tigers finished 10-0 overall and will meet the fourth-place squad from District C-4 at home next week.
Kingfisher 27, Newkirk 0
KINGFISHER — The trio of Jacob York, Jordan Woods and Derek Patterson powered Kingfisher to a 27-0 win over Newkirk Friday night.
York carried the ball 28 times for 112 yards and two touchdowns for the Yellowjackets, putting him over 1,000 yards for the season. Woods had seven catches for 164 yards and two touchdowns, making that five touchdowns for him in the last two weeks.
Patterson threw for 220 yards and ran for 75 in the game.
Rhett Blundell contributed for the Yellowjackets’ defense, making 13 tackles.
Kingfisher’s final record is 8-2, with a 6-1 record in District 2A-1. Newkirk finished 6-4 overall and 4-3 in 2A-1.
Watonga 47, Thomas 0
WATONGA — Watonga blanked Thomas Friday night, 47-0.
Quarterback Trevon Hartfield threw three touchdown passes and ran for a touchdown as well. Watonga’s final record is 9-1 overall and 7-1 in District A-2. Thomas finished 4-6 overall.
Cashion 36, Minco 12
CASHION — Cashion defeated Minco 36-12 Friday night to finish a perfect 10-0 season.
Running back Collin Willis led the Wildcats with 166 yards on 15 carries, including touchdown runs of 52 and 1 yard.
Canton 45, Waukomis 6
CANTON — Dillon Schoonmaker led Canton to a 45-6 victory over Waukomis. Schoonmaker had runs of 33, 5 and 16 yards for touchdowns. Canton finished 9-1 overall and 8-1 in District B-1, while Waukomis ended the season 2-8 overall and 2-6 in the district.
GEARY 38, RINGWOOD 12
GEARY — Geary handed Ringwood its sixth straight loss, 38-12 in the season finale for both teams Friday. The visiting Red Devils finished the season at 1-7 in District B-1 and 1-9 overall. Geary finishes at 4-4 and 5-5.
CRESCENT 34, WELLSTON 0
CRESCENT — Crescent ended a four-game losing streak with a 34-0 victory over Wellston. It was the first shutout of the season for the Tigers, who finished the season with a 3-5 District A-2 and 4-6 overall record.
FORGAN 32, BOISE CITY 22
Forgan claimed second place in District C-1 with a 32-22 win over Boise City Friday. The loss ended Boise City’s seven-game winning streak. Waynoka finished fourth in the district.
