ADA — Sherri Curry, a member of Ada Business and Professional Women, was named Mentor of the Year of Oklahoma Federation of Business and Professional Women May 16 during the OK/BPW 89th Annual State Conference held at The Radisson Inn in Tulsa.
The mentor award is given each year to recognize a BPW member for outstanding service, for serving as a mentor and role model for others, for making a difference. Curry is the second Ada BPW member to receive this honor, following past State President Glenda DeShazo named OK/BPW Mentor of the Year in 2007.

She served as the 2007/2008 OK/BPW Corresponding Secretary and is co-editor of the state publication Oklahoma Business Woman. In addition to chairing numerous state and local committees, Curry has served as Ada BPW vice president, treasurer, recording secretary, and corresponding secretary.
