Silver Tea plans under way

ADA — The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary will host its Annual Silver Tea on Friday, Dec. 4, in the historic home of Bart and Shannon Reed, 211 W. Kings Road. The Tea will run from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., with refreshments and musical entertainment offered throughout the day.

Featured in the crafts sale will be elegant holiday wreaths, all-occasion centerpieces and small Christmas arrangements created by auxiliary members and priced for every budget. Tea attendees will also have an opportunity to stock up on holiday cookies, breads and cakes, along with other specialty items such as homemade sauces and candy.

There is no admission charge, but tax-deductible donations are accepted. Guests are encouraged to attend early in the day for the best choice of scores of gifts, Christmas decorations and specialty food items donated by local crafters and expert cooks.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will provide food, toys and other necessities to Ada-area families in need during the holiday season.

Free parking will be available at the Presbyterian Church parking lot at the east end of Kings Road. A shuttle will run continuously between the church and the event.
