Man arrested second time on molestation accusation

Ada — Pontotoc County Undersheriff Joe Glover said Rickey Dewayne Prince, 51, Ada, was arrested on suspicion of lewd acts against a minor child under 12 and possessing child pornography Friday.

This is the second time Prince has been arrested this year on these charges. He was originally arrested by deputies in January and charged with two counts of child molestation and possessing child pornography. He posted a $100,000 bond and was free until this latest arrest, Glover said.

“After seeing the first arrest in the local media, a concerned parent came forward to report that her children had visited the Prince residence several times during the previous year,” Glover said. “During an interview at Ada CARE Cottage, one child made a disclosure of child sexual abuse by Prince.”

During a month long investigation before the January arrest, officers identified at least five victims who were under the age of 12 when the alleged molestations occurred, Glover said.

During a search of Prince’s residence in January, deputies found a computer, numerous floppy disks and CD-ROMs as well as an 8-mm video camera and several 8-mm tapes, according to Glover.

Glover checked two CD-ROMs marked “PRIVATE” and “PRIVATE II.” Glover said the CDs contained numerous pornographic images—both video and photographic—and included at least five different images of children who are totally nude, showing full frontal.

Each of the child photographs were next to photographs of adult pornography.

Glover said the children in the photographs are clearly under the age of 18.

Floppy disks and the computer hard drive were turned over to FBI computer forensic experts for analysis.

Glover said in late April, FBI agents informed him that additional images of child pornography were found on the seized computer and on several of the floppy disks.

“Based on the new child victim coming forward and the discovery of additional child pornography, a second warrant was issued for the arrest of Prince, Glover said.

Prince’s bond is set at $100,000 and he is set to appear in district court Monday at 1 p.m.
