Charges are pending against a Roff man for allegedly stabbing another man in Ada last week.
John Shulanberger, 28, is accused of stabbing an Ada man Thursday, May 14, at a residence in the 1000 block of S. Cherry.
The alleged victim, Christopher Valentine, walked into the police station just after 10 a.m. and told police he had just been stabbed, according to a report by Officer Dewayne Campbell.
Valentine had blood all over his face and chest area and reportedly said Shulanberger stabbed him at the Cherry Street residence. Campbell alerted other officers as he drove to the crime scene.
“As I approached the front door to the house, Officer Baker advised that he had a male subject outside and on the south side of the house,” Campbell said.
“Officer Baker advised that he saw the subject with something in his hand and that he dropped it when he saw us.”
Campbell said they approached Shulanberger with guns drawn and arrested him without incident.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence and found blood evidence, drug paraphernalia, knives and marijuana, according to court documents. Shulanberger is being held on a $100,000 bond.
Assistant District Attorney Greg Pollard said he expects Shulanberger to be charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
