A Sulphur woman escaped serious injury after she crashed her car into a semi which failed to yield the right of way, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Brian Bagwell.
Kamy Kessler, 22, was driving a green Ford Mustang south on State Highway 1 when she crashed into a semi truck driven by Dillon Miller, 18, Bennington, Thursday. Miller was turning north onto SH 1 from the Chickasaw Turnpike.
Firefighters from Fitzhugh, Roff and Ada freed Kessler from the wreckage and placed her on a stretcher. She was taken by Valley View EMS to an Ada hospital.
No information was available on Kessler’s condition but officials on the scene said her injuries did not appear to be life threatening. Visibility was 100 feet because of thick fog.
Bagwell did not say if Miller would be cited. Pontotoc County sheriff’s deputies, Roff police and Chickasaw Nation Lighthorse police also responded.
