1-on-1 Pierre Tyson

What’s the best way to describe a team’s big man? Impact player? Go-to guy? If you are the Henderson Tigers basketball team you only need three letters to describe this guy - MVP. He’s a 6’4” eighth grader with the potential to be the best basketball player to ever come through Jackson. His team opens the first round of the playoffs today against Cowan Road Middle School and most of the attention will be on his performance. All season he’s been the “center” of the Tigers’ offensive production and defensive presence.

“He has a lot of potential and when his mind catches up with his body he’s going to better than he is now,” said Tiger’s interim Head Coach Luke McFarland.

This season he’s awaited to see his competition arise to his level. Well, it finally came. This week we’re taking it in the paint and to the hole by going 1-on-1 with the Henderson Tigers’ center Pierre Tyson.
