The Jackson Progress-Argus, the official legal organ of Butts County, Georgia, is published every Wednesday. In one form or another, it has served the people of the county since 1873, becoming the Progress-Argus in 1913 when the Jackson Argus merged with the Butts County Progress. Each week, the Progress-Argus delivers the latest local news, people, sports, celebrations, passings, opinions and advertisements to it loyal readers. Delivery is done by the United State Post Office, and copies are also sold out of newspaper boxes and stores located throughout Butts County.
