Hello, Butts County - March 22, 2006

You have 13 messages.

“Hello, Butts County. This is Uncle Weedle. I’d like to give a shout out to K.R., and let her know her friends are there for her, and we’re all truly sorry about Pearl, and we’re here if she needs us, and we all love her.”

“Hello, Butts County. We all need to chip in and buy Joe the Hobo a life.”

“This is for the comment that was made last about the people on Tussahaw Point who love your dogs and cats but we don’t. We’re the same way in Jackson. People let their animals run loose. They don’t love their animals, or they’d keep them at home. They get run over, and they’re not taking care of the animals. We’re prisoners in our own home. We can’t even go outside because of the dogs. They attack us when we try to go to our cars. You can never take a walk on our street. Georgia has a leash law whether Butts County does or not. It needs to be enforced.”

“That’s just great. More drunk people in Jackson.”

“Ya’ll must have pretty boring lives. I suggest ya’ll find a life. At least I have a clear conscience. And remember this: judgement day is coming.”

“OK, Butts County. Here’s the skinny. Men: Bass Pro Shops is coming to Bass Road off I-75 this April. People: stop whining about the casinos. Men: you don’t own the gym. And last but not least: how can we keep our money in Butts County when all we get are outrageous prices? Hello, Butts County, wake up.”

“Shame on every one of us who doesn’t step up and support Safe Haven.”

“I was wondering how come nobody can do anything about all the drugs in our schools?”

“Do the RV’s that are from outside the county parked at the recreation department parking lot pay anything to Butts County for the use of electricity to run their RV’s over the weekend?”

“Hello, Butts County. If you are going to confront our commissioners about yard sales, you need to have all your facts. This is two different facts: having a yard sale is for two or three weekends a year, which is acceptable; having them 52 weekends is a business, which should be held in a commercial area with a business license. It is illegal to run a business without a business license. If our commissioners allow this, anyone in the county could – and probably will – open a business of whatever and wherever they wanted to.”

“Hello, Butts County. This is for the people who want a casino in Butts County. Get real. Why would they let us have a casino?”

“Next thing you know Butts County is going to be trying to get tax money from our yard sales.”

“Hello, Butts County. Looks like the more trash is picked up off of Brookwood Avenue, the more people throw it out. I think we need to get somebody to stand guard. Over and out.”
