Voices: Repeat the message

I would like to repeat Don Landrith’s letter (Globe, Nov. 4), as many times as anyone will listen. Some spoke up on Tuesday, loud and clear, when they went to the polls.

I hope that roar of discontent reached the White House, though I’m sure they wouldn’t acknowledge it. I hope they heard it in Congress and keep it in mind when they vote on health care reform, particularly if it contains a government-run public option — or whatever name they try to disguise it with. It’s nothing more than another attempt to take away more of our freedom of choice, the right to make personal decisions for ourselves, the right of our doctors to determine what’s best for us, and to take what we have worked hard and responsibly for and “redistribute” it. Why are we letting one egomaniac and a handful of tax-evading, womanizing, arrogant liars steal the freedom this country was founded upon? Our Founding Fathers must be spinning in their graves!

More chances are coming soon to stand with those who spoke up on Tuesday. Let’s take back our country.
