Congratulations to the Fabulous Harlem Crowns on defeating the Ada D.A.R.E. team at an exhibition game in Roff. The Harlem Crowns team provided plenty of laughs during the show as they are masters of ad lib in the spirit of Harlem Globetrotters. The proceeds from the game go to the Ada D.A.R.E. program. Thanks to Roff schools for hosting the event.
Kudos to all the local sports teams who are participating in playoffs and continue to advance. Good luck!
Congrats to Kassie Ingle on directing "The Importance of Being Earnest" as her senior project as a communication studies/theatre major. The play opened Wednesday night and will be showing at 8 p.m. through Saturday.
A big thank you goes to the ECU Big Bad Saxophone Band for entertaining kindergarten students at Glenwood Early Childhood Center last Friday by performing a story with music.
Kudos to city council for setting a date for the Ada Air Expo this year.
On a sadder note, kudos to Roff Public Schools for allowing the funeral services of a Roff graduate to be held on the school grounds and for helping the family, students, faculty and community grieve for the loss of an athelete, former student, classmate, friend and daughter.
