ADA—Ada police narcotics unit detained two Ada men wanted for allegedly selling cocaine Friday.
Ada Police Capt. Jeff Crosby said Jason A. Merritt, 25, was arrested while Justin D. McNutt, 28, turned himself in to authorities. Both arrests stem from an investigation by the unit during which Merritt and McNutt allegedly sold cocaine to an undercover operative of the narcotics unit. Merritt remains in jail on a $25,000 bond while McNutt was released after posting bail.
The APD narcotics unit has arrested 27 people in the last month on drug related charges and are showing no sign of slowing down. Crosby said anyone with information on drug dealers or any other crime, can call CRIMESTOPPERS at 33Catch or (580) 332-2824.
