4 injured in wreck

Wewoka — Four people were injured in a two vehicle accident two miles west of Wewoka Wednesday.

The accident occurred on U.S. 270 at 5:19 p.m., according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Tommy Allen. Madison Kincade, 17, Wewoka, was driving a 2004 Volkswagon north on State Highway 59 when she reportedly failed to yield at a stop sign.

The Volkswagon was hit in the side by a 1999 Ford driving east on U.S. 270. The driver of the Ford, 63-year-old Richard Clifton of Sasakwa, was taken to Integris Medical Center and admitted with arm and head injuries.

Madison Kincade was freed by Wewoka firefighters after being pinned in her vehicle for thirty minutes. She was taken to IMC and admitted with head, arm and internal injuries.

Two passengers in Madison Kincade’s vehicle, Stevie Kincade, 18, and Hannah Hensley, 17, both of Wewoka, were also taken to IMC.

Stevie Kincade was admitted with a head injury and Hensley with head and internal injuries. Allen did not list conditions but listed all as being stable.

Allen said seat belts were in use by all and listed the cause of the accident as failure to yield.
