Marketing assocation names new member

SULPHUR — Arbuckle Country Marketing Association (ACMA), the south-central Oklahoma multi-county organization, has recently named Tim Lynch to its board of directors. Lynch will represent Love County and will serve along side 12 other Board members. Lynch resides in Love County.

Lynch currently serves as the Executive Director of the Hardy Murphy Coliseum, located in Ardmore.  ACMA Executive Director, Kim Little said the organization is very pleased to have Tim join the Board.  “He brings special talents and perspectives to the Board,” she added.

Lynch stated that he would like for all tourism related businesses to get involved in the Arbuckle Country Association.  He said, “There are many benefits in joining including all the marketing and promotional opportunities.”

As the south-central Oklahoma multi-county organization, ACMA represents seven counties: Carter, Garvin, Murray, Love, Pontotoc, Johnston and Marshall.   Its mission is to provide cooperative marketing opportunities for its members and to actively promote the events, attractions and destinations within the seven counties.

According to Little, “Arbuckle Country aggressively markets and promotes the seven counties so to enhance the regions economic development base.” She continued, “We have some of the States best outdoor recreation to offer visitors and we are perfectly located along I-35 to capture people traveling either north or south.”

The organization offers its members many co-operative promotional opportunities in which to participate each year.  They include television, radio, website, print, press releases, media blitzes and travel shows.  “All of our promotional effort is focused on  showcasing the great activities awaiting visitors when they travel to our region,” Little said.

Little continued, “Tourism in Arbuckle Country is economic development.  Each visitor that comes to this area is contributing to the overall economic success of the region.”

For more information about ACMA or how to become a member, call 580-622-2210, or contact Lynch at 580-223-2541.
