ADA — It took less than one hour for a jury to sentence an Ada man to 100 years in prison Wednesday on a lewd acts charge.
Sean Ray Smith, 41, Ada, was found guilty and sentenced to 100 years in prison for lewd acts with a child under 16 Wednesday afternoon.
According to the arrest affidavit for Smith, on June 20, 2006, Smith was found by his wife and son hiding behind a chicken coop in their backyard with their minor daughter, both of whom were naked.
The report indicated when police arrived, Smith was back inside of the house. Police asked him what was going on, to which Smith replied that he was only rubbing his daughter’s back.
However, after interviewing both the mother of the child and the child’s sibling, Ada police found out how the two had been discovered nude in the backyard.
