ADA — Knights of Columbus of St. Joseph Church will be accepting donations for helping handicapped children and adults at the entrances to the Ada Wal-Mart.
Continuing a statewide 20-year-old tradition, the Knights will hand out Tootsie Rolls to all shoppers and then pass on all donations to the Center of Family Love in Okarche and to McCall's Chapel in Ada.
Both institutions are dedicated to providing protected living situations and sheltered workshops for mentally handicapped children and adults, such as those with Downs Syndrome.
Last year, over $2,300 were donated to these charities.
