$18,000 meth seized in search

— ADA — A search warrant executed at an Ada residence shortly after 9 p.m. Monday resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine with a street value of more than $18,000, according to Trever Manuel, District 22 Drug Task Force member.
Two vehicles and more than $2,450 in cash were also confiscated in the operation conducted by investigators from the Chickasaw Nation Lighthorse Police, District 22 Drug Task Force, and the Ada Resident Agent of the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs.
Investigators conducted a controlled purchase which resulted in a search warrant for the residence. Investigators executing the warrant discovered approximately one-half pound of methamphetamine, scales, baggies and other materials used to facilitate the distribution of methamphetamine.
One individual was initially arrested at the residence. Investigators continued the operation and arrested two more individuals when they came to the residence to purchase methamphetamine.
The operation was conducted in an effort to shut down a major methamphetamine trafficking organization in Ada.
Investigators and agents said the investigation is ongoing and further arrests are pending.
Investigators and agents were assisted by patrol officers from the Ada Police Department and Deputies from the Pontotoc County Sheriff's Office.
