Authorities are still searching for Mitchell Shults who escaped from the Pontotoc County Jail Wednesday. Undersheriff Joe Glover said the FBI and US marshals are joining in the search.
“U.S. marshals had a confirmed sighting of Shults driving a stolen gray 2003 Harley Davidson Motorcycle, tag number 3A3319 through Oklahoma,” Glover said. The motorcycle was stolen from a local car dealership the night Shults escaped.
Officials said Shults was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, dark colored jacket with a gray hood underneath and a white t-shirt. He has more than likely changed clothing, and is possibly wearing blue jeans and a blue jacket by now.
Officials warn Shults should be considered armed and dangerous and he is facing a life sentence. He has a tattoo representing the Arian brotherhood on his right neck, and a tattoo of writing on the left neck, Glover said.
Anyone with information is asked to call 332-4169 or Crime Stoppers at 33CATCH or 332-2824.
