Stonewall to have farmer's market

STONEWALL – Following approval by the Board of Trustees at their monthly meeting on May 14th, Stonewall will be holding a Farmers Market beginning Saturday, July 11, 2009.
Potential vendors must be local growers from the Stonewall, Fittstown, or Tupelo mail delivery areas. Only produce (fruits and vegetables) are permitted to be sold, and must be grown on the vendor’s property, which will be subject to no-notice inspection at any time while they hold a permit. Permits will be issued at Stonewall City Hall at a one-time fee of $10.00, and requires completion of an application/agreement. Each vendor will be issued a designated space on Main Street in front of the Family Park, where they can park their vehicle and put up a table or put up a 10’x10’ sale gazebo. Each Saturday, from July 11th through October 3rd, the vendors may begin selling at 7:00 am until 1:00 pm.
