• Baptist Village of Ada celebrates its 5th annual Memorial Say Service with guest speaker Major Gen. Myles Deering. The event will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Baptist Village of Ada, located across from Kerr Research Lab at 3501 Oakridge in Ada. Lunch will be served following the ceremony. The public is invited.

• Al-Anon meets Fridays at 8 p.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church at 17th Street and Broadway in Ada.



SATURDAY

MAY 23, 2009

• Woodmen of the World Lodge 1228 invites local members to Richardson Park located on Melody Lane at 5:30 p.m. to an evening with members and friends. Hamburgers, hotdogs and homemade ice cream will be available along with a moonbounce for the kids. Attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs. • Owl Creek Community and School Reunon takes place at Owl Creek Community Church. Guests are to take lawn chairs and covered dish.

• Alcoholics Anonymous Men’s Only Discussion Group meets at 8 a.m. at Central Church of Christ. Closed meeting. For more information, phone Craig R. at 580-399-8838.

• The fourth annual Vamoosa Reunion is 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.  Bring a dish for a pot luck lunch at 12 noon, in the old Vamoosa School auditorium, now the Grace Community Church.  An auction will be held as a fund raiser to help with expenses. Phone 580-925-3439 for more information.

• Dolbert Cemetery Association conducts a public meeting at 1:30 p.m. at Dolberg Church.



SUNDAY

MAY 24, 2009

• Alcoholics Anonymous meets each weekday from noon until 1 p.m. and again from 8-9 p.m. and Weekends from 10-11 a.m. and 8-9 p.m. at 431 S. Mississippi. All meetings are open and anyone who is interested in learning more about the program are invited to attend (between 14th and 15th streets on Mississippi Ave in Ada).

• Al-Anon meets Sundays at 8 p.m. at Central Church of Christ at 820 Stadium Drive in Ada.



TUESDAY

MAY 26, 2009

• The Combat Infantrymen’s Association (CIA) is now recruiting for new members. Membership into this elite group of men is open to Army infantry veterans who have served in a foreign war and earned the Combat Infantryman’s Badge. WEDNESDAY

MAY 27, 2009

• Babysitters College class will be June 11 -12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Carl Albert Indian Helath Facility main conference room. Deadline for enrollement is June 9 and applications may be downloaded at www.chickasaw.net. Only 25 applicants will be accepted due to limited space. • A dance is held every Wednesday at the Irving Community Center, 704 N. Oak, from 7:30-10 p.m. The cost is $6 per person.



THURSDAY

MAY 28, 2009
