High winds pounded the area Thursday keeping emergency crews busy with power outages.
Ada firefighters responded to several downed power lines and a blown transformer.
Ada firefighter Michelle Sutton said the power was off at the fire department for some time.
Gil Broyles, spokesperson for OG&E, said crews all over the state were kept busy with downed power lines and telephone poles which snapped in two.
Broyles said several residents were still without power Friday morning in the Stratford and Holdenville areas.
Ada Fire Department Captain Pat Savage said residents who see a downed power line should stay far away and call 911 to report the problem.
Overnight, a storm system moved through the area and Ada received .37 of an inch of rain.
