The ninth annual Cedar Street Blues and Jazz Festival will be held in Wewoka on Saturday, June 27.
Festivities will kick off at 6 p.m. in front of the chamber of commerce on the north end of Main Street. Food and drinks will be available for purchase at the festival, including a Cajun vendor serving boiled crawfish, frog legs and catfish. The Wewoka Fire Department will have barbeque and the Oddfellows Lodge will be selling hamburgers and hotdogs. Another vendor will be selling desserts and non-alcoholic frozen beverages.
“We will have a beer garden,” Tara Morgan of the Wewoka Chamber of Commerce said. “We will have a wine booth set up, as well.”
Attendance is expected to be from 2,000 to 3,000.
“We do have T-shirts for sale down here at the chamber now and posters for sale, as well,” Morgan said. “Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the gate.” Childrens’ tickets are $5.
The festival will feature music from Blood Washed Blues Band, 2nd Generation, the Dan Danger Band and Miss Blues and the Blue Notes.
