A Stonewall man was injured after crashing his vehicle near Fittstown Friday.
David Mayes, 24, was driving north on State Highway 99 when he ran off the road to the right, overcorrected and ran off the road to the left, Oklahoma Highway Patrol Tropoper Brian Bagwell said.
The vehicle overturned and came to rest in a ditch. Firefighters from Ada and Fittstown and EMS removed Mayes from the wreckage and loaded him into an ambulance.
He was taken to Valley View Regional Hospital and, according to radio traffic, complained of pain to his neck, shoulder and lower back.
Pontotoc County sheriff’s deputies and Chickasaw Nation Lighthorse police also responded.
