Five people were injured in a weekend rollover accident Saturday south of Roff.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Tracey Laxton said the wreck happened on State Highway 1 just south of Hickory at 2:55 p.m.
Michael Shannon Key, 20, Hickory, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche south when a rear tire blew out.
Key reportedly pulled to the right and overcorrected. The vehicle slid sideways, ran off the road to the left, rolled into a fence and an electric pole, and came to rest on the fence.
Key was taken by Air Evac to Norman Regional Hospital and admitted in serious condition with head, internal, external, arm and leg injuries.
Three passengers in the vehicle, 10-year-old Chance G. Gordon, Shane M. Wise, 14, and Levi CC Wharton, 19, all of Roff, were thrown from the vehicle during the rollover.
Gordon was taken by Valley View EMS to Valley View Regional Hospital and admitted in serious condition with head, internal, external, arm and leg injuries. He was later taken to Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Wise was taken by VVEMS to VVRH, treated for head, arm and leg injuries, and released. Wharton and a fourth passenger, Linzy W. Pettersen, 19, Roff, were taken by Murray County EMS to VVRH, treated for head, arm and leg injuries, and released.
Laxton listed the cause of the accident as tire blow out and said seat belts were not in use.
